Summary Keeping up with the tradition, the govt didn't provide the alternate route nor were wardens deployed

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Despite the announcement by Karachi Deputy Mayor Arshad Vohra and the loss of precious lives, no wardens have yet been deployed on University Road nor has an alternate route been provided, reported Dunya News.

The residents of Karachi had hoped for some improvement on University Road today in the traffic flow due to the deployment of wardens but nothing of the sort happened.

Let alone city wardens, there was not even a hint of traffic police on the road from Hassan Square to Urdu University. Claims had been made after the loss of five lives on the same road but they didn’t come to fruition. The citizens say that they are still facing the same problems and have no idea when they would be able to get rid of them.

The provincial minister for transport had also promised facilities to the people of Karachi but the people actually think that more problems have surfaced instead.

There are still four months left in the completion of this project worth Rs 1.7 billion.
