Summary Nafees Zakaria says Pakistan's principled stance won't change due to someone's detention
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria has on Wednesday said that Pakistan’s principled stance on Kashmir won’t change with anyone’s detention, reported Dunya News.
Talking exclusively to Dunya News, Zakaria said that Pakistan had its own national interests and nothing could influence it. “We have cleared on the world that the peace of the region lies in the solution of Kashmir issue”, he said.
He added that the use of state terrorism could not affect Kashmiris’ struggle for freedom. “Worst kind of human rights violations in the occupied valley are a challenge for the global community. Blinding youth with pallet guns cannot be justified by any means”, he said.
Nafees Zakaria said that Pakistan will continue its diplomatic support to the Kashmiris. “There can’t be two opinions on Kashmiris’ right of self-determination”, he said.
The FO spokesperson said that he had high hopes from United States’ government regarding Kashmir issue. He added that Kashmir was an international issue and the global community will have to play its role to resolve it.
