Summary Major Abbas, Captain Umar and sepoy Adnan were wounded in exchange of fire: ISPR
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Terrorist belonging to Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has been gunned down while eight suspects detained on Wednesday in Kulachi of Dera Ismail Khan, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.
Pakistan Army conducted an operation in Loni Jungle area, around eight kilometres from Kulachi and killed a TTP terrorist. Reportedly, Major Abbas, Captain Umar and sepoy Adnan sustained injuries in the combat.
In a press briefing on Tuesday, Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Asif Ghafoor said that the military was committed to counter terrorism in the country and counter-terrorism operations would continue until elimination of all operatives of banned outfits.
He had said that that India is disturbing peace along the border according to a planned strategy.
Major General Asif Ghafoor further said that war is not a solution to any issue and that Pakistan is desirous of peaceful solution of outstanding issues on equity.
