Summary Abductee’s brother told that Samar Abbas had come to Islamabad on January 3 and was kidnapped.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The kidnapping case of Samar Abbas has been registered in Islamabad’s Ramna Police Station on the request of Ashar Abbas, Samar’s brother.

Abductee’s brother told that Samar Abbas had come to Islamabad on January 3 and was kidnapped.

He further told that his brother was in contact with his brother-in-law via SMS before he went missing.

Let it be known that Samar Abbas belongs to Karachi and had come to Islamabad for some work. He is fifth rights activist who has gone missing.

Four rights activists were previously reported missing from various cities in Pakistan between January 4 and 7, raising fears of a crackdown on social media, the last bastion of free speech in a country where journalism is increasingly under threat.
