Saad Rafique directs PMU formation to link Gwadar in railway network
Railways Minister oversees biannual performance of public sector development projects in railway
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The federal minister of Pakistan Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique ordered officials on Friday to buy land for Gwadar railway station, reported Dunya News. He demanded quick completion of land buying process for Gwadar in order to be linked with the railway network and other projects.
He asked the officials to employ experienced professionals from private sector on merit for establishment of Project Management Unit (PMU) in Gwadar. Railways Minister ordered a special salary package for deserving candidates in order to be appointed in the coastal area.
Saad Rafique directed quick completed of upgrading project of railway tracks in Wazirabad, Sialkot, Narowala and Shahdara sections. Moreover, the Railways Minister oversaw biannual performance of different public sector development projects in Pakistan Railways
