Summary Ruling party noted that PTI arranged press conference just 1 day before Panama Leaks case hearing
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League (N) leaders held a joint press conference in the capital city on Tuesday in which they responded to the evidence presented by chairman Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan in relevance to Panama Leaks case, reported Dunya News.
The leaders of the ruling party passed severe criticism on the opposite party s chief. Minister of State for Privatisation Muhammad Zubair claimed that Imran Khan is trying to insert pressure on the institutions as well as the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He advised the PTI chief that the highest court had already told both participants not to hold court sessions outside the court.
He further said that false propaganda is being spread by PTI in response to losing all elections; by-elections and local government elections. “Imran Khan is losing his support”, he added.
The privatisation minister claimed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif s name was nowhere mentioned in any of the petitions which prove that the premier has zero involvement in the case. He said, “Nawaz Sharif has no relevance with money laundering and offshore flats, Imran Khan s lawyer has never said anything about the prime minister during case hearings.”
The PML-N expressed complete faith in the new bench of Supreme Court for hearing Panama Leaks case. “Imran Khan should not influence the institutions of the country. It s everyone s responsibility to defend the prime minister. It will be proved in a matter of days that our case is stronger”, Muhammad Zubair added.
Furthermore, PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz suggested that Imran Khan and PTI have a political agenda in which they make new allegations every other day. “Imran Khan earlier used false language against institutions during sit-ins and now he has taken a new stance as he is the master of U-turn ”, the leader said during presser.
He claimed that Imran Khan has not presented any new evidence and major opposition parties including Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have abrogated their support for PTI.
Daniyal Aziz also targeted Jehangir Khan Tareen in his criticism while accusing him of damaging the institutions. Another leader Mohsin Shahnawaz stated that Imran Khan has no evidence in support of his allegations against Sharif family.
