Panama Leaks case: PTI submits additional documents in SC

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday has submitted additional documents in Supreme Court regarding Panama Leaks case.

A forty-page document includes details of conversation between British Virgin Islands’ investigation department and Mosack Fonseca Company while emails of Minerva Community Services and Mosack, terming Maryam Nawaz as beneficial owner of offshore companies were also attached.

PTI said that trust deed between Maryam Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz was forged which was formed to mislead the court.

The transcript of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s interview in 2012 was also provided to the court.

Earlier, newly-elected Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar had formed a five-member larger bench that will hear the Panama Papers case.

A five-member bench consists of Justice Ejaz Afzal, Justice Gulzar Ahmad, Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh and Justice Ijazul Ahsan.

The bench will be headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa however, Justice Amir Hani Muslim who was part of the previous bench in the case has not been included in the new bench.

The apex court will hear the case on January 4.

On December 9, hearing of Panama Papers case was adjourned by former CJP Anwar Zaheer Jamali till first week of January.
