Lord mayor, deputy mayors take oath in Lahore
The oath taking ceremony was held at Town Hall, Lahore.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Local body government in Punjab is restored after ten years as lord mayor Colonel (retd) Mubashir Javaid and deputy mayors of Lahore have taken oath on Saturday.
Local body government representatives in other cities will also take oath shortly.
The oath taking ceremony was held at Town Hall, Lahore in which a large amount of supporters of lord mayor and deputy mayors participated.
High officials including Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore and Deputy Commissioner Lahore also attended the event.
Returning Officer (RO) Mehmood Masood administered oath to the lord mayor and deputy mayors.
The hall echoed with slogans of greetings and felicitations.
Lord mayor and deputy mayors also showed their determination to serve Lahore and work hard for its progress.
The passion of workers was worth watching as Town Hall witnessed public’s liveliness once again after a long time.
