Summary "Look into my eyes and smile", says Shah Mehmood, "I can't compete with you", Saad tells Mazari
LAHORE: (Web Desk) - National Assembly saw some heated discussions today (Thursday) as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) members indulged into a match of slogans and insults thrown at each other for quite a long time but there were some lighter moments as well during the debate when the entire house exhanged smiles with each other.
During PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi s speech, there was ruckus in the house as he said he wasn t ready to call Speaker as the speaker after the partiality he displayed last night. The PML-N members started making noise in the house as soon as the words were utterred. However, there were some nice moments as well that the two parties exchanged during the heated debate.
At one point during his speech, when the house was simmering with the passionate speech by Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the politican from Multan toned down the temperatures by looking at the treasury benches as he said in his typical style, "Look into my eyes and smile". There were laughters from both sides of the assembly as he said these words.
Later, when Saad Rafique was addressing the house, PTI leader Shireen Mazari tried to interfere. However, instead of indulging into a match of throwing insults with her, Saad Rafique said, smiling, that he wasn t able to compete with Mazari. He was continuously interrupted by Mazari during the speech but Saad Rafique kept avoiding the debate with the help of smiles.
"You can t stay quiet, I know. My sister, I can t compete with you", he said on one occasion. He criticised Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government during his speech and told the opposition that they must listen to him with courage.
