Gen Raheel pays visit to Major Shabbir Sharif's grave on his 46th death anniversary
Former COAS laid floral wreath on Shabbir Sharif's grave at Miani Sahib Graveyard.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General retired Raheel Sharif on Tuesday paid a visit to his brother Major Shabbir Shareef’s grave in Lahore on his 46th death anniversary.
According to details, contingent of Pakistan Army presented salute to Major Shabbir Sharif while General Raheel Sharif laid floral wreath on his grave at Miani Sahib Graveyard.
General Officer Commanding Major General Fida Hussain Malik was chief guest on the occasion, who laid floral wreath and offered fateha on the Shaheed’s grave. Jawans from Pak Army paid salute to the Shaheed’s grave.
Major Shabbir Sharif was born in April 28, 1943 and embraced martyrdom during Indo- Pak war in 1971.
He got the Sword of Honor from Pakistan Military Academy Kakul as cadet while he also received Sitara- e- Jurat over his bravery in 1965 war.
Major Shabbir Sharif was also awarded highest military honor Nishan-e-Haider for his sacrifices in 1971 war.
