Summary Khan said that he was ready to defend details of his tax returns against FBR

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Imran Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has said on Thursday that had Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif been innocent, he would not have delivered repeated addresses.

In a press conference at his Bani Gala resident, Khan said that the premier could have avoided the hassle by presenting a documented proof but he failed to which was why empty rhetoric was relied upon. He reduced letter of the Qatari prince a mere fictional story.

Supreme Court (SC) and every Pakistani mocked the development in the issue regarding Qatari prince as it was not believable, he claimed. Barrage of lies had to be fed to the nation as money trail was not cleared.

Khan said that Nawaz Sharif rigged the election, stole the mandate of the people and did not come true to its promises. He said that money laundering would be proved if the funds were not transferred from Dubai to purchase flats in London.

He called attention of the people to the case asserting that the premier was involved in money laundering and corruption.

Hassan Nawaz, son of the premier lived in a residence worth over Rs 60 million, Khan said and rhetorically asked which business he earned the money from. He further criticised the government by saying that three tax amnesty schemes were introduced over a period of three years and petroleum products’ prices were hiked.

Khan said that he was ready to defend himself as Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) was gathering details of his tax returns.
