ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan has said on Thursday that leaders of the country want to bury the issue of Panama leak but the political party would not let that happen.

Imran Khan presided over a key meeting of different members of PTI who shoulder the responsibility of representing the party on different television talk shows.

While addressing the participants, he said that PTI would not let Panama leak issue slide by people’s eyes and the Prime Minister would be forced to offer himself for accountability.

Corruption should be eradicated if Pakistan was to strengthen and prosper, he said.

Khan reiterated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf would demonstrate a massive protest on October 30 in the federal capital. The people of the country would come out of their homes on the announced date to seek accountability of the leaders of the government.

A documentary was shown to the participants of the meeting that highlighted the damages caused to the fabric of structure and services of institutions by corruption. Countries that witness rampant corruption could never progress, Khan said.

According to sources, the political organisation has decided to review the date announced for the protest in Islamabad. Reportedly, the party is mulling protesting on a working day as October 30 is going to fall on Sunday.
