Summary Government detains 140 for violating pillion riding ban across Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar, Multan
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Owing to the security concerns for Youm-e-Ashura and for the sake of safety of the public, pillion riding has completely been banned across various cities including Lahore.
According to Dunya News, the officials have detained 140 for violating pillion riding ban across Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar, Multan and several other cities.
Moreover, pillion riding would also be banned in Narowal and certain other smaller cities.
Apart from that, nobody would be allowed to ride a bike in Dera Ismail Khan for two days of Ashura. There would also be strict checking measures across the entrance and exit passages of the city.
