Local government by-polls in KP's 7 districts postponed
Polling was scheduled to be held in 14 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The Election Commission has postponed the local government by-elections in seven districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after candidates from the constituencies failed to submit their documents.
These districts include Mardan, Charsadda, Dera Ismail khan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Mansehra and Upper Dir.
Meanwhile, polling process is underway in seven other districts of Khyber Bakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar.
Locals stand in queue to cast their votes
Tight security arrangements are in place. At least 21 polling stations out of 38 in Peshawar have been declared highly sensitive.
According to provincial Election Commission, polling will continue till 5:00PM without any interval.
