LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday has dismissed plea filed against wasting substandard and adulterated milk.
During the hearing, the plaintiff said that there is no way of checking the quality of milk while the minister of Punjab Food Authority Ayesha Mumtaz said that milk sellers are also continuously threatening them.
The Chief Justice of LHC Mansoor Ali Shah remarked that food authority is investigating the matter as per law.
Earlier, Interior told National Assembly that crackdown against people selling substandard milk is underway as 94 people indulge in adulterating were arrested and 402 challans have been sent to courts.
On the other hand, Drug Regularity Authority recorded their statement in Milk-booster injection case and adopted the stance that in the future such booster injections will not be used because the authority has cancelled their registration.
