Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that Pakistan is the frontline state in the war against terrorism, Dunya News reported on Thursday. He said that Pakistan has incurred huge losses after the incident of 9/11 while thousands of Pakistani military personnel have sacrificed their lives for the cause of eliminating terrorism. Addressing a seminar on International IPD in Islamabad, Rehman Malik said that Taliban could not be distinguished as good or bad. He said that all talibans have the same agenda. The minister said that the terrorists are using fear as a weapon to translate their devilish aims into reality. Rehman Malik also laid emphasis on the need of having a common strategy against the menace of terrorism. Rehman Malik also said that the government wishes to organize the madrassahs under the supervision of government. Rehman Malik further said that Pakistan has been facing terrorism for such a long time while Pakistani police is not capable of handling it with the existing resources. He added that poverty and unemployment give birth to terrorism. The minister also vowed to fight terrorism till it is completely uprooted.
