A three-member larger bench of Sindh High Court deferred the constitutional petition challenging holding of dual office by President Zardari sine die and issued notice to the presidency in this regard, Dunya News reported on Wednesday. The three member bench comprising Justice Musheer Alam, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Maqbool Baqir heard the petition filed by Advocate Rasheed Akhwand. The court was told that notices to all the partes have been sent while notice meant for Asif Ali Zardari was sent to the Bilawal House form where it was known that he lives in Islamabad at Presidency. Subsequently, the court ordered issuance of court orders to the President. It is pertinent to mention that senior advocate Rasheed A Akhwand filed a petition in the SHC challenging holding of two offices by President Asif Ali Zardari. The petitioner argued that the holding of two offices by the President is against the constitution and thus it is a public and constitutional issue. He suggested that Zardari should either remain a president or hold the chairmanship of PPP.
