Summary Video surfaces of gang roaming on streets of Lahore having weapons with them

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Lawlessness in the provincial capital reached new heights as youth were found roaming on the streets of Lahore on motorbikes while having weapons in their hands and being involved in aerial firing, reported Dunya News.



Few months back, Dolphin Force was introduced in the city in order to handle the situation of law and order in a better way. But the surfacing of recent video showing young men atop motorcycles driving speedily at the Maulana Shaukat Ali Road in Lahore while having weapons in their hands and doing aerial firing was a question mark over the effectiveness of the law enforcement agencies.

While conversing with Dunya News, Inspector General (IG) Operations Dr Haider Ashraf stated that the youth in the video involved in the usage of weapons shall be apprehended, adding that law enforcement agencies were identifying the young men involved in the act. He also said that it shall be investigated that why police officers were not present at the very location while the event occurred.

Haider Ashraf thanked Dunya News for highlighting the issue and stated that action shall be taken against the police officers who showed an irresponsible attitude during work.
