Chairman Move on Pakistan sent to jail on 14-day judicial remand

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chairman of Move on Pakistan party, Muhammad Kamran has been sent to district jail in Faisalabad on a 14-day judicial remand, reported on Monday.

According to details, the hearing was conducted by regional magistrate Ahmed Raza during which investigation officer asked the court to extend physical remand of the culprit which was at once rejected by the judge.

The court has sent the accused to district jail in Faisalabad and adjourned the hearing.

While talking to media, Kamran said that the case has been lodged on political basis which is unaccepted. He said that he didn’t intend to support martial law in the country.

On the occasion, Kamran’s supporters chanted slogans and demanded release of the party’s chairman.

Earlier, Chairman Move on Pakistan, Muhammad Kamran, was arrested on charges of erecting controversial posters in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi and other cities urging Army Chief General Raheel Sharif to take over

"Talk of leaving has become old, for God’s sake come now," stated the posters.

Several cases were registered against him in various cities for spreading chaos and unrest in the country through controversial posters.
