Karachi: Govt to demolish 10,000 houses in grand operation against encroachments
The residents had been given a deadline by Monday: DC Central
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Government on Saturday decided to launch grand operation near Gujjar drain after which surrounding 10,000 residencies including barns will be bulldozed, reported Dunya News.
DC Central said that Gujjar drain will be expanded by 69 ft but 30,000 residencies were illegally built while 10,000 will be collapsed for widening purposes, he added. The residents had been given a deadline by Monday, he said.
