Summary Police had been receiving intelligence of presence of huge amount of weaponry in Malir: Malir SSP
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police on Thursday conducted several raids in different areas of the city and arrested three politically associated suspects from Malir and four Lyari gang war suspects, reported Dunya News.
Police stated that suspects who belonged to a political party included Zeeshan, Tahir and Zaheer. They were taken into custody for remand as huge cache of weapon was recovered from them.
Malir Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rao Anwaar said that police had been receiving intelligence of presence of huge amount of weaponry in Malir after which the agencies had conducted in-discriminatory raids to recover illegal weapons.
On the other hand, Federal.B Area police arrested 4 suspects of Lyari gang member including Ubaid-ur-Rehman, Shakir Ali alias Police Wala, Ikram Laasi and Asghar Ali recovering a huge amount of weaponry including two grenades.
