Summary Country suffered losses worth $118 bn in previous 14 years of War against terrorism
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Losses suffered by Pakistan in the War against terrorism over the past one year have been reduced by $4 billion as a result of the success achieved by Pakistan Army in Operation Zarb-e-Azb, reported Dunya News on Friday.
The 20-point National Action Plan (NAP) formed to curb terrorism in the country has been greatly able to minimise losses suffered in the war against terrorism and forms the backbone of Pakistan army’s achievements in Operation Zarb-e-Azb as the country suffered losses worth $118 billion in the previous fourteen years of the war.
Sources state that during fiscal year 2014-15, Pakistan suffered losses worth $9 billion 240 million in the war whereas this damage was reduced to $5 billion 560 million during fiscal year 2015-16.
In this way, the loss suffered by Pakistan in the War against terrorism was reduced by $3 billion 680 million.
