Administration disappeared over edibles' price hike ahead of Ramazan

Summary Gram flour, potato, onion and tomato prices had also increased from 60pc to 80pc

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Fruit, vegetables and edibles  price has reached new height from 60pc to 100pc on the arrival of holy month of Ramazan as date price has increased to Rs 200 from Rs 100 per kg, apricot Rs160 to Rs 80 per kg while price control committee did not seem bothered in this regard, reported Dunya News on Friday.

Banana price plunged to Rs 240 per kg from Rs 120, mango price rose to Rs 150 from Rs 80 while apple had been sold at Rs 120 per kg from Rs 60.

Other than that, gram flour, potato, onion and tomato prices had also increased from 60pc to 80pc. Most of the shopkeepers did not even bother to display price sheets neither the price control committee took action against them.
