MULTAN (Dunya News) – The body of a seven-year-old boy who was drowned in Nobahar Canal in Multan has been recovered after 24 hours, reported on Thursday.
The child jumped into canal after being afraid of oncoming speedy bus on Wednesday. The eyewitnesses said that the victim Afzal was standing with his sister near the canal when he suddenly became scared of oncoming speedy bus and jumped into the stream.
The rescue officials said that the corpse was recovered from Ara Pulli near Bahawalpur Road that was handed over to the victim’s family after identification process.
The local residents said that various people have lost their lives after falling into the canal due to no safety arrangements. The natives have urged the authorities to take step to prevent further mishaps.
