SC rejects PTI MNA Rai Hassan Nawaz's appeal against disqualification
SC upheld the election tribunal's verdict and ordered re-election in NA-162.
ISLAMABAD (We Desk) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan has disqualified Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Rai Hassan Nawaz and ordered re-election in NA-162 constituency of Sahiwal, Dunya News reported.
It is pertinent to mention here that Rai Hassan Nawaz had approached the apex court against the election tribunal’s verdict. He was disqualified by the election tribunal for concealing details of his assets.
A three-member SC bench headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali today disposed of Hassan Nawaz’s appeal and ordered re-election in the constituency.
