LAHORE (Dunya News) – At least one person was killed while another sustained injuries in a road mishap in Lahore today (Thursday).
According to details, the incident took place at Wahdat Road when a speeding truck collided with motorcycle, killing a 16-year-old Shahroz and injuring his sister.
The victims were taken to the hospital for further process whereas truck driver fled the scene. Police personnel have started investigation into the matter to nab the culprit.
Deadly accidents are common on roads across Pakistan due to bad road infrastructure and rampant disregard of traffic laws.
Over 9,000 road accidents are reported to the police every year, killing on average around 5,000 people, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
