Summary Hospital's accounts open for anyone to check including the Sharif brothers, says PTI chairman.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – In a statement issued on social media website Twitter, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan Wednesday responded to the allegations earlier made by the government pertaining to his alleged offshore companies. Khan tweeted that 3 million dollars of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust (SKMT) Endowment Fund were invested off shores, but were completely returned to the medical facility in July 2015. Khan stated that the hospital’s accounts were open for anyone to check including the Sharif brothers, Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Punjab CM (Shehbaz Sharif).

The PTI chairman added that the PM was not responding to the allegations against him but instead was criticizing others.

He stated that the government officials were hurling accusations against Shaukat Khanum Hospital to conceal their own corruption. He added that targeting a charitable organization was was an ignominious act.

Khan said that PM Nawaz should answer for the allegations revealed in Panama Leaks as there was a conflict between the PM’s statements and explanations given by his children. He added that these opposing statements point towards the corruption and tax evasion issues.

The PTI chairman further stated that the ‘Sharif family’ would not be able to rid themselves of these Panama Leaks revelations. He added that the whole nation is demanding that the PM and his family should disclose their assets and give an explanation as to where the money for these assets came from.
