LAHORE (Web Desk) - March 23 is a very special day for the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan as they commemorate the Pakistan Day on this date, recalling the significant event that took place on this very day in the year 1940 at Manto Park (now named as Iqbal Park) and its importance in the creation of the country.
Pakistan Day reminds every citizen of the country of the tremendous struggle and passion that was placed in the making of Pakistan by the leadership of the Muslim League as well as its hundreds of thousands of followers. The unity, the enthusiasm and the collective effort made by the Muslims and other minorities of sub-continent to achieve a new homeland where their rights would be safeguarded was simply unparalleled.
