Summary Court has also ordered Interior Department Sindh to form a JIT submit a report within 15 days.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Anti-Terrorism Court’s (ATC) administrative Judge handed over Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) member Saeed Behram to the Rangers for 90 days on Tuesday.
The party member arrested through Interpol from Sharjah, was presented in Sindh High Court alongside the ATC’s administrative judge.
Presenting Behram in Court, Rangers’ law officer said that the accused was involved in the crimes of murder, kidnapping for ransom and extortion.
He stated that the suspect had kept giving orders of target killing even after fleeing abroad, inquiry into which has to be made.
The Court inquired from Behram if he knows for what crime he was arrested. He replied that he was arrested from Sharjah, where he has been a residing for 20 years.
Placing Behram in the custody of Rangers, the Court has also ordered Interior Department Sindh to form a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) pertaining to the case and submit a report within 15 days.
The MQM member had earlier benefitted from former President Pervaiz Musharraf s National Reconciliation Ordinance.
