Arrested terrorists linked with Al-Qaeda's South Asian commander

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Three terrorists were arrested on Tuesday as a result of an operation conducted in District Gharbi of Karachi by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), reported Dunya News.

According to In-charge CTD Ali Raza the three terrorists arrested have been identified as Usman, Umair and Imam-ud-din and are linked with Al-Qaeda’s South Asian commander Fahad group.

Two Kalashnikovs and a pistol have been retrieved from the culprits. Umair, one of the arrested terrorists s a mechanical engineer and was researching upon conducting explosions using drone technology. He had also worked upon radio technology as well.

Imam-ud-din was involved in producing jihadist and anti-nation documents whereas Usman used to provide arms to banned outfits.

Further investigation is being conducted from the terrorists.
