Summary Merchant continues consultation with lawyers regarding accusations and evidences
LONDON (Dunya News) – Pakistani businessman in London Sarfraz Merchant on Tuesday received a new letter regarding the ongoing investigation case against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), reported Dunya News.
FIA added Merchant as a witness in the case and has apologised for its previous letter. While talking in Dunya News’ programme “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Saath”, Merchant earlier expressed reservations over the letter sent by the FIA previously.
FIA wants Merchant to cooperate in order to bring the ongoing money laundering case against MQM towards a meaningful end. Security assurance has been guaranteed to Merchant if he agrees to visit Pakistan.
Sources indicate that Merchant will decide about his visit to the country after consultation from his lawyers.
