LAHORE (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday asked Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) to hand over records related to the Metro Bus project in Lahore for investigation purposes, reported Dunya News.

According to the NAB laws, the government is obliged to provide the bureau with documented records of all completed projects which are over Rs 50 million in worth. In this regards, Rs 30 billion were spent on the construction of the Metro Bus project in Lahore, according to the government sources.

Right after the completion of the megaproject, records related to it were handed over to NAB from the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and other departments but records associated with TEPA were delayed in their transfer. As a result of the delay, NAB has asked TEPA to turn in the records related to the project at its earliest.

NAB officials stated that to investigate the matter was their lawful duty.
