Summary Dr.Asim case brought Rangers and police into conflict with each other
KARACHI (DUNYA NEWS) - Dr.Asim case; rangers alleged investigation officer (IO) on Monday to miss the terrorists’ medical bills, Dunya News reported.
According to details, hearing of cases of corruption, illegal allotment, commission, money laundering, and conniving terrorists on Dr.Asim was adjourned till 5th March. National Accountability Bureau (NAB) took more time for reference, whereas rangers alleged IO for vanishing medical bills of terrorists.
After NAB court, Dr.Asim was presented in anti-terrorists court where Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar and Rauf Siddiqi were also presented. Court provided copies of report presented by IO to the accused’s counsels. Rangers’ Counsels Rana Khalid and Sheikh Sajjad submitted allegations of missing out medical bills of 9 terrorist that belonged to MQM against IO in written form.
IO purported that Rangers wanted desired investigations. Court had asked IO to submit written answer till next hearing. Dr.Asim said that he was being politically victimized. Court reserved decision on Dr.Asim and pasban’s head Usman Muazzam’s applications regarding b-class in jail, while issued non-bail able warrants against fugitives.
