No holy cows, accountability should be for all: Rana Sanaullah
It is wrong to degrade others in the name of accountability, says Rana Mashhood
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab’s minister of law Rana Sanaullah said on Monday that no one should be treated as a holy cow and accountability should be across the board. He was talking to media outside the Punjab Assembly, reported Dunya News.
According to the details, Rana Sanaullah said that anyone who had committed a crime should be held accountable without any exceptions even if the person was from media, judiciary or military. He said that General (R) Hamid was stopped from accountability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
“Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) businessmen are looting KP”, said the Law Minister.
Answering a question about National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) operation in Punjab, Rana said that these are all rumours and people should not believe it until it comes from spokesperson of NAB.
Education Minister Rana Mashhood said on this occasion that it was wrong to degrade others in the name of accountability.
“Those who are corrupt should be held accountable but slinging mud over others is not right”, said Rana Mashhood.
Answering a question about the video scandal, the education minister said that he had written a letter to the NAB Chairman in which he mentioned that the video was fabricated. He said that those who blamed him were also not credible.
