Summary Shah Mehmood’s statement regarding disagreements on intra-party elections worked, committee formed
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has taken quick action on the statement of senior party leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi identifying the disagreements between party members on intra-party elections and has formed a committee to resolve issues, Dunya News reported on Monday.
According to the details, PTI has formed a four-member committee which includes Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, Asad Umar, Hamid Khan and Shah farman. The main task of the committee is to resolve the disagreements between the party members on intra-party elections. The suggestion of forming a committee was given by party leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
Meanwhile, the Chief Election commissioner of PTI, Tasneem Noorani will head the party meeting on Tuesday for the consultations on procedures of intra-party elections.

PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi stated that amendment in accountability commission has weakened the party while the resignation of Tasneem Noorani would further add fuel to the fire.
He said that a difference has been noticed between party s election commission and senior leadership on the process of intra-party polls.
He further demanded to form a two to three-member committee to address the reservations over intra-party elections.
Shah Mehmood said that party’s ideology has got badly affected by the change in accountability commission’s law. He said the opposition parties are leveling allegations of double standards against PTI.
