SHEIKUPURA (Dunya News) – Seven terrorists of an outlawed organization were shot dead Wednesday while 3 managed to escape during a clash with the police near Sharaqpur area of Sheikhupura. A heavy amount of explosives material and ammunition were recovered from the exterminated terrorists.
According to the police, 10 terrorists riding on a car and 3 motorcycles were plotting a major attack. The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted the raid on information of terrorists in the area. 7 of the terrorists were killed during the exchange of fire which ensued during the action.
Police say that a further contingent of police was called in during the fight. The law enforcement agencies have now surrounded the area in attempt to catch those who fled.
The search operation continued long into the night.
