ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The firing on police check-post in I-9 police station’s premises by unknown gunmen left police head constable Muhammad Imtiaz killed while another 2 were critically wounded, Dunya News reported.
According to details, unidentified gunmen opened fire at the check-post after which the head constable of police died on the spot while another 2 got critically injured.
The police have started searching for the suspects after cordoning off the area. The gunmen who arrived at motorcycle opened fire that left one official of Frontier Corps (FC) and two policemen critically injured.
The gunmen fled the scene afterwards. Those wounded were rushed to the PIMS hospital where the head constable succumbed to injuries while the policeman Zahid and FC official Bismaullah are in surgery.
The police and FC personnel have placed various blockades across the city and strict checking of vehicles is also ongoing.
