Summary To implement UN agenda 2030, focusing on Eco-friendly energy sources is important: Maleeha Lodhi
NEW YORK (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s permanent representative at United Nations (UN) Doctor Maleeha Lodhi said on Friday that the world should focus on Eco-friendly energy sources. She was chairing an informal meeting in the headquarters of UN in New York, reported Dunya News.
According to the details, Maleeha Lodhi said that the issues like climate change, poverty, education, food and water shortage are all linked to the need of Eco-friendly energy sources and that is why it is added in the UN agenda of 2030.

Pakistan’s permanent envoy to United Nations (UN) Dr. Maleeha Lodhi has on Tuesday said that Pakistan is ready to cooperate in the restoration of Afghanistan peace process, reported Dunya News.
Addressing the UN General Assembly (UNGA) during a debate on the Afghan peace process, Dr. Maleeha Lodhi said that Pakistan was ready to facilitate the restoration of peace talks among the Afghan leadership.
However, Lodhi said that Kabul must stop issuing anti-Pakistan statements if it wants Pakistan’s cooperation in the peace process.
Maleeha Lodhi said that permanent peace through talks is the only viable option for Afghanistan. She said that national reconciliation in Afghanistan is vital to stop Islamic State (IS) from establishing its bases in the region.
