Summary The administration says the gates come in expensive which is why have been removed
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The government’s claims of increasing security of educational institutions of Karachi felt short as the authorities removed the walkthrough gates of Karachi University on Friday despite security threats, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the security measures seem insufficient even after three cracker attacks in the largest metropolis of the country. The administration has complained the walk-through gates come in expensive and therefore been removed.
They said the gates had been rented from a security company and were becoming unaffordable. The administration also hoped that Karachi University – one of the largest in the city – will soon acquire its own gates soon. Nobody knows when exactly.
Update: A social welfare organisation has announced to donate four walk-through gates for the university.
