ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – A petition seeking to try Lyari gang war leader Uzair Baloch in the military court has been filed in the Supreme Court today (Monday), Dunya News reported.
The petition was submitted in the apex court by Mehmood Akhtar Naqvi.
The plaintiff states that cases against Uzair Baloch have been registered under anti-terrorism act while the accused played a role in deteriorating the law and order situation in Karachi.

The petitioner further says that the accused has links with prominent leaders of a major political party in the province.
Federation, Sindh govt, Interior Ministry, Ministry of Defence, Law Ministry, Attorney General, Sindh Advocate General and others have been made respondents in the petition.
On the other hand, while talking to media outside the Sindh Assembly, MQM leader Khawaja Izharul Hassan said that many facts will surface after Baloch’s arrest.

He said that a new era of peace will begin after the Joint Investigation Team’s (JIT) report in the case.
