Summary Voting by 'show of hand' model will make the process transparent, he said

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Information Adviser Moula Bakhsh Chandio on Thursday said the government has eliminated chances of rigging in the last phase of local body election, adding that no elected candidate can be bought with force now, Dunya News reported.

Addressing a media conference at Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Media Cell Bilawal House, Chandio said the way of secret ballot was ended in order to make the ballot process more transparent.

He said various parties including Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) were making it an issue that their candidates are being harassed, adding that voting by ‘show of hand’ model will make the process transparent.

Sindh’s Legal Adviser Murtaza Wahab said going to court is everyone’s right but opposition wants to delay Mayor’s elections by going to court against Local Bodies bill.

PPP Karachi Division president Najmi Alam said MQM is making noise because it could not form government in three districts of Karachi.
