ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In a letter to Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Saturday, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Rehman Malik has stated that the reason behind Iran-Saudi conflict is the powers who are enemies of Islam.

Rehman Malik wrote that Daesh will benefit the most from the conflict who want to divide the Muslim community on the basis of sectarianism.

He urged PM Nawaz to bring forward a resolution in United Nations, declaring Daesh as the enemy of humanity.

Rehman Malik also wrote in the letter that Pakistan should play a positive role in Iran-Saudi conflict and suggested that a delegation of parliamentary leaders should be sent in both the countries to meet the Saudi leaders and Iran President in order to convince them to resolve the matter through dialogue.

The PPP leader said that it was a much needed step to pave a way for Iran-Saudi Foreign Ministers (FM) meeting.
