All PTI bodies have been dissolved, Imran says panel system fueled the wares within the party
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – All bodies of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have on Friday been dissolved as chairman Imran Khan announced the new intraparty elections. He said that panel system fueled the wars within the party. He admitted that most members of the party opposed the intraparty elections, reported Dunya News.
Talking at a news conference in Islamabad, Imran Khan told that all party bodies were dissolved last night. He admitted that the panel system fueled the wars within the party and ultimately damaged PTI. He said that direct elections will be held this time.
Imran Khan said that Pakistan lagged behind in democracy because the institutions are not transparent. He said that People’s Party is going through the situation it is in today because of its undemocratic behaviour within the party.
PTI Chief Election Commissioner Tasneem Noorani has issued the notification dissolving central, provincial and district bodies of the party. However, it will not implement on Chairman, Finance Secretary and Information Secretary.
