LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore on Tuesday welcomed the much awaited winter rain as the light drizzle turning the dry weather more pleasant even though further dropping the temperatures, much to the delight of citizens.
A few raindrops were seen here and there in the evening, but the heavens opened up as soon as it turned dark.
The rain however also caused 70 electricity feeders to trip which deprived the areas of Mughalpura, Thokar Niaz Baig, Awan Town, Allama Iqbal Town, Johar Town, Punjab University and numerous other areas of electricity.
Citizens appeared beaming over the captivating weather with many flocking to hotels and shops in order to enjoy the winter showers.
Twin cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi also received the drizzle turning the weather more pleasant. Peshawar, Faisalabad, Multan, Attock, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Kabir Wala also saw the storm clouds as it started pouring.
Snowfall blanketed the areas Quetta, Ziarat, Skardu, Malam Jabba, Kalam, Qalat, Gilgit and Hunza.
