Summary Tareen won as result of hard work, only ballot gives you right to represent people: Pervez Rashid
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister of information Pervez Rasheed said on Thursday that Federal government is not using rangers’ issue to take revenge from anyone, reported Dunya News.
According to the details, Pervez Rashid said that it is not written anywhere in anti-terrorism laws that the Federal Government would have to take approval from anyone. He said that federation is working within the limits of its jurisdiction so no one should think that rangers’ issue is being used to take revenge from anyone. Pervez Rashid also said that Federal Government has agreed to almost all three demands of the Sindh government.
Answering a question about Jahangir Tareen’s recent win in Lodhran, he said that Tareen won as result of his hard work and it proves that only ballot gives you right to represent the people, ‘container’ cannot give the right of representing people as their leader.

Federal government on Tuesday restored full powers of Rangers. It has stated that Sindh’s Assembly resolution cannot alter the law on counter-terrorism, reports Dunya News.
Government has rejected the recommendation to limit the powers of Rangers as proposed by Sindh Assembly. Interiror Minister has extended the powers by 60 days. In a letter sent to Sindh government, federal government has stated that Rangers will continue to work as per its previous rights.
In the contents of the letter, it has been stated that Pakistan Rangers is working under the Anti-Terrorism Act and that Rangers’ powers cannot be limited without amending the Act.
The letter further says that in order to limit the powers of Rangers, an amendment in the Anti-Terrorism Act is mandatory. It said the Pakistan Rangers is bound to work as per the Act and therefore its powers cannot be limited.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcast Pervaiz Rashid has said that there is no chance of governor-rule however there is a need for Rangers operation in Karachi.
