Summary PM Nawaz chaired a high-level meeting in Raiwind, Lahore.
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday chaired a high-level meeting in Lahore to discuss different development projects and security in Punjab, Dunya News reported.
Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, and senior provincial officials from Counter Terrorism Department are present in the meeting.
On the occasion, Punjab Home Secretary and Inspector General of Police briefed the participants about the law and order situation in the province.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directed the concerned authorities to mobilise all resources to maintain law and order in the province. He also directed to expedite implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) to counter terrorism.
The Prime Minister stated that protection of public lives and property is the government’s top priority.
The meeting is likely to take important decisions regarding registration of religious seminaries and its students.
