Summary Accountability Court has given a 7 day extension on physical remand of Dr. Asim
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Thursday in Accountability court claimed it has found evidence implicating former Federal Minister and Chairman of provincial Higher Education Commission Dr. Asim Hussain in money laundering and commission for contract cases. Due to this, the Accountability Court has given a 7 day extension on physical remand of Dr. Asim.
According to the details, NAB claims that the evidence against Dr. Asim was provided by Wall Street company’s owner during interrogation.
NAB’s report claims that Dr. Asim allegedly laundered money on a massive scale by sending finances to a foreign country through this company. This money was transferred by two individuals named Shahid and Naveed in the form of dollars.NAB has also recorded the statement of the two individuals.
The report also claims that NAB has also located Dr. Asim’s front man in this operation named Abdul Hameed in Dubai on Asim’s identification.
The report further claims that NAB has also obtained records pertaining to the former Federal Minister allegedly taking kick backs and commissions on contracts for Sui Northern Gas Company and Marri Gas Company.
