Bomb scare: PIA's Tokyo-bound flight makes emergency landing in China
The authorities cleared the aircraft for take off
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight bound for Tokyo on Friday was grounded in Beijing on a bomb threat.
Sources privy to the PIA said that PK-852 took off from Islamabad and landed in the Chinese capital. The flight was on way to Japan when Chinese civil aviation authority was tipped off about a bomb.
The aircraft was made to land in emergency in China’s Tianjin. However, upon thorough search the authorities stated that it was a bomb scare and the jet was clear to depart.
Separately, a Lahore-bound flight PK-758 had a bird-strike before landing. However, the flight which took off from London did not encounter any technical fault.
