Summary Case of three people's murder was filed by PTI and PAT

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad High Court (IHC) rejected the plea to withdraw murder case against Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and federal ministers on Thursday. The case of three people’s murder was filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and PakistanAwami Tehreek (PAT), reported Dunya News.

According to the details, last year on August 30, three workers of PTI and PAT were killed during the clash with security officials, when the participants of sit-in, called by PTI and PAT, started marching towards PM house. The case was filed in Secretariat police station by both parties.

Today when the case was heard in IHC, no one appeared in court from the government side. To which Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddique issued stay order on the petition of Inspector General (IG) Islamabad police for non-prosecution.

Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday has summoned replies from Interior Ministry, Foreign and Prime Minister (PM) secretariats within ten days on plea regarding meeting with Dr Aafia Siddique.

The petition has been filed by Aafia’s sister Fauzia Siddique. She has maintained in the plea that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif should raise issue of her sister’s release during his visit to the United States (US).

The plea states that Siddique should be granted access to Pakistani counselor. Fauzia has stated that Nawaz Sharif had written a letter during his tenure as opposition leader to the then PM Yousaf Raza Gilani regarding her sister.

The IHC has issued notices to the ministries concerned and summoned replies.
