12 die, 53 missing as flood wave sweeps away bus

As many as 12 people were killed while 53 went missing when flood wave swept away a passenger near Buzdar Sharqi at Indus Highway on Monday. The unfortunate bus fell prey to the gushing waters coming down from Koh-e-Suleman when it adopted an alternative path due to a damaged bridge near Buzdar Sharqi. Resultantly, the bus turned turtle and all the 75 passengers drowned of whom 12 managed to get out of water on their own while the rescue teams fished out 10 dead bodies. Search is underway for those still missing.
